ive just fitted my new engine and the gear linkage is being a tw@t.
firstly the gear lever in neutral looked like it was in 4th so the whole lot was too far towards me.
so i turned the plastic universal joint bit on the box round which has sorted that but now the linkage arm (the strange shape bit that you replace when you get a quick shift) hits a bolt on the steering rack.
has anyone else had this problem with the 2.0 conversion.
its strange cos with the old engine which was exactly the same mounts and gearbox wise had no problems
