Hi to all, I'm new to tinkering with Nova's, so I hope you can help and give advice with the ongoing project.

The car is a Nova Spin 1.0 Ltr, mods done so far 1600SV engine, F13 gearbox & weber 32/34 carb.
Hoping to change the suspension all round to a Nova GSI, front GSI anti roll bar and Cav SRI calipers and disks this weekend. Next week, when the bits arrive, a GSI servo & master cylinder and rear anti roll bar will be added.

I want to keep the car looking like a 1ltr spin so there are no plans to add skirts spoiler etc, I work in a dodgy part of London so if the car looks nice n sporty its likely to take itself for a drive!

Are there any realistic benefits to fitting braces across the front and rear suspension struts? and does anyone want to sell a suitable air filter for the carb?

Cheers

(Pics will follow when all the bits are on)

there are loads of mods to do without adding body parts. a mate of mine had a 2 itr 16 valve in his nova. it was totally bog standard. he told every1 it was a 1.2.

:D Jees, I can't believe the responses...
I bought my nova about 2 months ago and was recommended to a different nova site and forum, replies to posts took around a week to get a response, I gave up asking for advice or help in the end, thanks for all the positive feed back.

I noticed in most of your under the bonnet piccies you have strut type bits (the red pole!) across the suspension legs, are these necessary?
Only I have some serious problems when pulling away even gently, the front of the car lifts up and starts "snaking" up the road, if you let it the car will wheel spin in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th! could it be the front of the car is twisting with the torque?

I am still running the std nova spin suspension which is hopefully to be changed today to a nova SRI, if I can get the mother in law round to look after the kids (old git, with far too many kids!)
