I can't believe this! I have to get insurance on my nova (1.0) and the best quote I have got is ?1394 tpft from cis! the car is not modified apart from sri seats and rear headrests.
This is a bit of a joke, I mean how can they ask so much for what must be the bottom of the insurance list?
Could ANYONE please give me some directions of who to ask and what I should be looking at paying?
Thanks a lot

Yes thats a joke. Unless of course you have 9 points, a drink driving conviction and have admitted you leave the car unlocked at night?

www.adrianflux.co.uk <haven't checked link>

My first car was an XR2 (18years old), and was paying ?1000 on that TPF&T.

mate. I would say that CIS is the cheapest you'll find. especially for your first car. did you ring them up or go online? as the online maybe slightly wrong? They only quoted me 1100$ for a 1.4sri on a provisional (TPFT) and thats in a high car crime area. They give 25% discount for new drivers too. try them again

Tescos are very good.

The NFU sed that i could only get insured with them if the house insurance was witht ehm OR i was acctually a framer, stingy bastids!

tried tesco ?1150 (tp only) not that bad thats the best I have got. My dad offered to buy the car off me for ?800 and insure it under his name so I get my insurance paid and ?800. Tempting...

but then he said I could only use it when he wasn't! cheeky bastard! :p
