I WAS THINKING ABOUT PUTTING SOME 17 S ON MY NOVA AND I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE TO DO TO THE ARCHES

depends on profile of tyre I would reckon u'd use 205/40/17
depends on offset of wheel
depends on width of wheel
depends on how much cars lowered
depends on weight over wheels


etc etc

personally i know every1 has got erm but 16 speedlines alesio 2 do the trick everytime. they made for vauxhalls so the offset is rite, they do lw pros n they luks the nuts n i dont reckon u need any arch work dun cause me mate got sum 2 fit on his sri straight swop for the standards

not if you get the correct offset and run 195\45\16" tyres then mk2 arches have no need to be ground back

i find this strange because i have 15's with 195-50 tyres, my cars lowered 60mm and the lips have been ground off, but with more than 1 other passeger in the car they catch like fook!

they are et49's aswell

as stated above id say your shocks are fucked also what shocks are you using

i use spax adjustables and mine doesnt rub
mines lowered 60mm on 15's too btw

this lad i know wen his shockers or dampers where bust his car use to wheely the front end jst use to rise upo as he acclerated. proper funny but the car is not fuked cause he had it rolled by sum ppl who didnt like him. they jst picked it up n rooled it up againest a lap post dinted all ova.

right i have 205/45/17, et47 and my car is lowered 60 mm and the arches have been rolled, i am trying to find a way around changing my suspension i have a rj automotive front and it is scraping the floor will theses fit with out loads of modding

i have ground the lips back and used underseal on the bare meatl to prevent rot. Suspension wise i have avo coilovers that are wound down to give me a 60-70mm drop 8)
