Hello People,

I have picked up a set of electric window motors, a bit of wiring, and a set of central locking solonoids with a bit of wiring.

When i had my Gsi i am sure i had a small black box that sat under the glovebox which was used for the central locking am i right here?

Basically, what do i need to get these working in my 1L shell? Like i said, all i have is the motors and the solonoids!

Any help would be good

yes your right, the Black box that is mounted under the Passengers front parcel shelfy thingy is the Central Locking ECU, this essentially controls the central locking process.

You need the switch box. it's pretty essential.

Thenyou need to plug the loom's Earth and live into the fusebox.. there are two holes with exactly the right shape for the different plugheads. you can't put them in the wrong holes lol.

Then just run the ground to any ground in the car, i used to stereo ground or the fag lighter ground, can't remember which.

rivet it into the doors and you'l be away.

If you've got an alarm that supports central locking Maplins do a kit with 4 solenoids and all the gubbings for ?20!

Sounds like an easier option.
