Does anyone know where i can get new, but cheap 195/45/15's? I want a decent'ish make but dont really want to pay more than ?35 a tyre, because then i'll have to have them fitted and it'll come up to ?200.

Is there much 'ride comfort' difference between 195/45/15's and 50/15's aswell?

Cheers :D

I always thought the mobile tyre companies were expensive, taking advantage of people with no time etc.

:o Very cheap-I've waiting for a quote from them on 4 uniroyals, but if they turn out to be quite cheap i might go for a better brand. Thanks for the info

Just got my quote-?47 for 195/45/15 uniroyals-not fitted, just delivered as they don't cover bristol

topgear.co.uk sound alright, i'll have a look and toyo proxies for ?54 fitted is pretty good aswell, where from?

And is there a feelable difference with 45's rather than 50's?

195/45/15's wont ever be ?35 fitted.

i got some yoko a395 fitted and balanced for roughly ?45 a tyre, and they are really good performers, i'd recommend them

no good in the cold tho, gotta let em warm up a bit first.

it's not worth buying budget tyres IMO, they last half as long but only cost ?10 a tyres less.

I got a Nankang NS-II ultrasport for ?48 including fitting, new valve and balancing.
Pretty good i think, may be not the best tyre but they will do for me.
That is 195/45/16 as well.
I know one thing i have learnt about having smaller wheels, cost of tyres, i will probably be shifting to 15s, for cheaper tyre prices and decent handling.

Well looking on topgear the kumho tyres are looking the best but i heard they wear quite quickly?

Anyone know what all the numbers mean aswell? Like, Kumho 195/50R15 KH11 82V and Kumho 195/50R15 712 82V ???

Their 195/45/15's are only ?27.36 :o

Kumho's are shit, not as quick wearing as nankang's tho.

honestly, i've been trough a set of Nankangs which lasted abotu 3 months, and a set of Kumho's which lasted about 4 months.

And i drive like a grandad.

It was partly tracking which is fixed now, but they are just shit tyres.

My yoko's have been on 5 months now, and still have way over 1/2 the tread left.
