even the gear gaitor is still on..

i don't see the point in "stripping out" unless your really aftrer performance. i'd much prefer nice warm carpets

The 1.4 will be tuned nicely, nothing to major like Benji or CP but something with a bit of go.

Got some more pics today, took a total of 50-53Kgs (8stone) out today, weighed it n all.

I'm keeping two seats so i can carry a mate if i go anywhere, heater matrix will go.

But at least im going all out and doing it properly!

Doing something right for once!

brilliant but you've still got all that extra weight of it being a saloon so why bother with it. I personally cant think of any advantadges of the saloon over the hatch other than it being different

Thats EXACTLY why im doing it, not sure if you've seen my other nova but i like to be different, trying something you dont see all the time.

You could say why bother, you could also say, why not.

indeed we will mate!

saloon shell is only about 5kg heavier than the hatch

this is due to the bootlid being of much less substantial construction to the tailgate and the weight saved here and in the lack of all the hatch supports in the roof makes up for the extra foot of metal

dumping the heater might be a silly idea in the dead of winter like just now

yer ok you'll save another 5-10kg but you'll freeze your ass off, may as well keep it in and keep warm imo
