View Full Version : Finally...
The White GTi has gone to a new home
I'll just strip the 1.3 and sell off all its good bits and get that back to standard and start looking for a sunroofless nova, Need to find a garage as well at some point.
I'm a bit tetchy with the nova's so any buying advice, links etc would be great.
if you're planning on putting a different engine in then concentrate on the body. Try and fine a nice solid example. Look out for rusty back arches, boot floors and bottom of the doors. Front wings aintr too much of problem as they are bolt on and new ones only cost about ?25 8)
My GTE's just bombed out on the MOT too

Good (or not?) news about the GTi Rexy.
Omg, Fester! Noooo..(sorry Rexy)..what exactly did it fail on?
Shit Fester - didn't know it was that bad :(
P.S - First refusal on the Koni's please!!
I've stripped an SR that I crashed years ago and it wasn't worth it so I'm just keeping the wheels off this and binning the rest.
lazy nrven fcuk lol
you can make money from this, and we all know you like money.
rexy get a base model 1.2 as it will be lighter from the start. just be sure its got a solde front and back end. even rear arches arent an issue as you can easily cut out and replace. but obv good stuff will save time ;-)
yep camb is right, just get a nice solid one. It will be whatever you make of it.

It's more bolts to take all the wheels off than the complete suspension!!
It'll be off the ground anyway, plus it's a bit of easy cash (Aslong as the shocks weren't one of the things it failed the MoT on!!!)

you silly silly boy fester, i hope you got some money for it?!?
i expect BAF was a large part of that decision
BAF was off the richter
BAF is why my coilovers have sat in the back of my car for 4 months now.
Beer And Fags?
Just a stab in the dark.......
Beer And Fags?
That has been puzzling me for a while, but that makes sense
Chris
I've got it!!
Alex's post was a bit confusing - I mean why would Beer and Fags stop him putting some coilovers on?
BAF = Be Arsed Factor!!
