Erm....just try it, if it all goes wrong I wouldn't want to have posted about it.

i just think it would be a laugh. building it all with nova bits, running it on 3 spoke alloys

I didn't mean it in a bad way, it's just most of my mates are all talk and they never get things done.

use the nova an just cut everything off it so its just a floor pan engine an wheels, see how fast you can get the 1lt

Yeah but how about trying to chop the car in half,(And take a huge chunck out!!)so it got a much shorter wheel base, would turn well quick and make it lighter still !! :D
I say go for it,if it dont work out at least you will have had fun,im sure chris would come over and play as well

yeah it would be a good laugh. its just having the time to do it. Will probably attempt something over winter. Would it be strong enough with just the floorpan??
I was gonna put it as a rear engine but i think it would be a lot of trouble. The floorpan was gonna be made out of some sort of steel tubing to make a frame and then the standard nova steering. It would be soooo light because the only weight would be the engine really. Imagine the power to weight ratio even from a piddly 1ltr

Well if you use the nova chassis but shorten it down(chop a chunck out the middl) then well up what would off been the doors,so the side are solid,no roof, and then make the rest up as you go allong, lol
I think chris would hep out mate(did say think) :D

the thing is if i use the nova chassis its basically like driving a nova which was kinda what i was trying to avoid i.e ill still be sat up in the air looking over the engine...
..it just occured to me that i cant actually use it anyway cosidering the chassis is split in the engine bay and it all needs jigging.
guess it might have to be a new design
the one thing i dont wanna do is spend much cash on it if any at all.
put the 1.0l engine in a lawn mower and race that
