I am running a 200 watt Pioneer amp to Kenwood 400 watt 6x9's and it runs and works perfectly well until u start the car. It is a 1.2 Nova. I have a JVC head unit with 2 pre outs and infinty door speakers. There is no interference at all when the car isnt running but wen u start it there is a squeal in 1 speaker that increases in pitch when u rev the engine. I have made all connections secure and ran the cables from the pre out on the other side of the car to the power cable and the remote wire. I also tried swaping the connections from speaker to speaker and fond that no matter wich speaker i connect the 1 set of connections makes this noise anyway. Please help me as this is really is annoying me now. Thanks Gaz

there r 2 things u can do mate
1) bolt ur earthing point through the floor in ur boot with a big nut and bolt
or
2)go to maplins and get a noise reducer thing it goes onto the bck of the head unit on a pre out and it helps cut out engine noise and help with a clearer sound

its basically due to the amp not having a surpressor

just got to motorworld there about a tenner it just plugs in between your amp through your rca leads
i had this problem

i also bought better rca leas and ran them seperatly away from power cables
