View Full Version : Typical!

Just got uprated shocks and lowered springs, got the new wheels on today and had the arches rolled and resprayed last week, so my car was looking good. Driving home from work tonight i come through my village and see a group of lads trying to flag me down, i think bugger that, its 3 o'clock in the morning and i ain't stopping for anyone, so i slow down to about 20 to cruise past them just in case they do anything stupid, and one of the fuckers decides it will be a good idea to give my car a bloody good kick in the side! I get home thinking there will be minimal damage, walk around to the passanger side and fuck me there is a bloody massive dent in the rear arch and all the new paint has cracked! Its fucking typical! Now i'm just pissed off!

Sorry for the all the swearing but this has REALLY annoyed me. I can remember a post a while ago about car-jacking and peoples experinences, i know its not in the same league but i'm glad i didn't stop cos who knows what would have happened.

Anyway, rant over. x-(

Happens to me all the time m8 but not quite that bad yet. Came out of work the other week to find someone had spat all over my car and been throwing bottles etc at it. When will these type of ppl realise that its only a car. Does the GTE sticker do that much to these retards?

aye but rich, if you run into someone at 60mph+ imagine the mess it'd make of the front end of a nova. At least this way its only the rear arch... fair enough it still bad but at least he didn't run someone over and get done for that, and still have his windscreen to replace, new bumper, new bonnet etc etc etc.

and cornish, you never said, where in cornwall?

I had this problem, there is only one solution that will satisfy the mind of a budding car modifier - Knock Fcuk out of whoever damages/attempts to damage your car. It happened last year in town, sum guy threw a snowball, it missed, but I thought "it's the thought that counts" and he obviously meant to annoy me - 10mins later after a lot of run trying to catch the little prick, his head was promptly bounced off a fence then jamp on. The feeling you get after is great. I thoroughly recommend it. :D

I live just between St Austell and Bodmin, in a village called Lostwithiel (means lost within the hills in Cornish) if that makes any sense to you?

This is not the first time its happened, when i got the car in the summer, i went to see 'The Fast & The Furious' and when i came out of the cinema some twat had smashed in the front wing :(. I went to see the car park security but they did shit all about, even though it is criminal damage.

Shit happens i suppose.

lol i just hit the main beam and horn and drive like a loon... and they soon get out of the way.... a few years ago some pissed up twats blocked a road with them small police cones, i was in my 1.4sr at the time with my gf driving and we went through the cones sideways :D the look on the scallys faces was :O as the cones went flying towards them :)

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

2.0 16v back soon :D

Yeah i know lostwithiel mate...
for about 8 years running when i was a kid we took the boat down and went waterskiing near St Austell.
Pentewan Sands, near Mevagissey.
Was alreight... good water down there for skiing on... just enough ripples to get good traction when turning quick.
Of course if you aint waterskiid before that will mean nothing. :D

Never water-skied b4 so wouldn't know! Surf quite alot though, tends to be at Fistral, Polzeath, Harlyn Bay etc.. All up on the North coast where you get the big swells :D

ahh we avoided all them you see... bit hard to launch a boat into a dirty great 10ft wave.
We could have managed in the FourTrak but the sierra he had, no chance!!! :D
