a couple of weeks ago when i fitted my cage, i lowered my drivers seat, at the time i thought it was too low but now i've got used to it, it's great. i lowered the passenger side today and took a few pic's to show the difference.

now that seat is low. would feel strange sitting that low.

are they fixed or can you move them?

it is quite low but when driving you don't notice, trying to park is a bit of pain, it i needed to i could raise them easily, they are mounted on 1" spacers and fixed with a bit of threaded bar and 2 nuts, all i would have to do is get bigger spacers and cut some longer bar.

they are still mounted on the cobra sliders, i've just done away with the tilting subframes, the comparison pic's were taken before i'd started work on the passenger side, that matches the drivers seat now (or will when the paints dry and it's botled in)

was it hard to do? i want to do it when i get buckets.

my mate done it when he put nova sri seats in his xr2, but he had no subframes they where just bolted straight to the floor, i would do that cause its easy but it was a fixed position.

i bolted my frames to the floor and it split. all i did was go to the steel yard, nick some box section out of the skip and weld it in, the worst part is measuring to get tem positioned right, and even that's not too hard. i had neverdone any welding before i tried this, i borrowed a welder from my dad's company. i'm gonna buy it now cause it's a goodun and i'll get it for a good price (?300 instead of ?450)

looks good benji.

but haven't you got the door bars to the cage?
and you could save .65 of a gramm if you lose the door cards too.
