View Full Version : Electronic Rev Counter in a nova ??

i went to the scrap yard and got a set of electronic mk3 astra clocks for my car will i be able to use these on my nova ??

well its got 2 holes on the back for plugs but no hole for the speedometer is this right ??

you said, "electronic rev counter". The speedo will work so long as you get the transducer from the gearbox and all the relevent wiring diagrams to wire the thing up. Might not be as simple as the Digi Dash transducer as this one takes a feed off to the ecu.

Didn't quite understand what you meant, Chris, so excuse me if I'm repeating what you just said:

Everything on the digital clocks (including the rev counter) will work providing you had one in the first place. However, you DO need the connectors from the back of the digi clocks AND the gearbox transducer. If you get these I can post up the wiring diagram for you.

He isnt on about the Digital Dash, he means the Mk3 Astra clocks. They dont have a speedo cable

don't they take a feed from the ABS sensors for speed?

yes and im sure the 2 available gearbox senders dont run the same pulse frequency
