First, i'd like to point out the i said "guidance" and not advice...

Second, what kind of "counselling" are you studying then...?

to my knowledge there are two main types of counsellors:

a) someone trained to give guidance on personal or psychological problems...

or

b) a senior diplomatic officer...

as far as i am aware, you do not undertake training to become the latter of the two

however please correct me if i am wrong

Actually you have to study for 3 years to be a qualified counsellor unless u just learn the counselling skill as they are two different things all together! and there r 3 main types of counselling there 1, psychodynamic, 2, person-centred 3, cognitive-behavioural!
im doing all 3!
