can anyone help me out???
I got a 1400i (single point) i want to change it to carb. Will i need to change the head? Will the fuel tank/pump be ok for doing this also what happens about the little ECU thing on it?

whats wrong with the injection system?
instead of fucking around with the injection system remove all the bits that make it slower than a SR:
if your car is a J or earlier plate fit an SRi exhaust manifold (4-2-1 with port for lambda sensor) then fit a GTE downpipe and a GTE exhaust system
if its a k plate you will need the cat for the mot so get a full SRi system, downpipe and manifold an get a decat pipe made up for it so u can run without the cat but easily refit it for the mot
then fit an SR or GTE camshaft
that shouldnt cost u much (some of the parts can be baught new for pennies others available from scrapyards easily enough) and should see you most of the way to SR power without the shitty pierburg carb strapped onto it
