Finally a bit of progress has been made. i felt like things were coming to a stop for a while but last sunday we took a big step forward.
Big thanks to Pie eater Dan for coming down to give us a hand at 7Am sunday morning lmao! Cheers darling ! lol

Unfortunatly i didnt get any work in progress pics. I think we spent most our time under the fecking car with a spanner fucking about with the rear mount . Lmao! Fucking thing.

Anyhow in the end we got the gearbox/Engine/And the clutch cable/Accelerator cable back in. The new solid mounts fitted. ect.
Still a slight problem tho with fitment due to a HH plate slightly overhanging after it being welded above the lower wishbone. So need to grind this back so the gearbox dosent try to rest on it.

Next stop is probably Cp's now where a new loom will be made for the dta(cheers stu) and can get that installed. Poly carb windows back in.
hydraulic handbrake fitted and inline biase valve. as well as all new incar brake lines ect. I just need to get the electrics tested to make sure the basics are working due to the loom being moved about. :)
Anyhow heres the pics of the engine now sat in the bay ect.

you're running 45's on their right? If so, why do you need electronic engine managment?

sorry if it sounds a silly question.

With electroni managment you can get a more precise setup.

Got lots to get done to be honest.

The old shell wasnt worth it anymore. Hence i broke it!

I must be the only one to spot the difrence in the color off the engine rocker cover to the rest of the car..lol

Is only just a slight shade of white diffrent.(by the way chris knows this)

Scott . the car is of white colour.
Now if the rocker cover perfectly matches the car it would look stupidly bland!
So i went for gloss white on the cam cover.looked well cleaner. Chromed spark plug cover /wing bolts along with baily header tank.
Stainless cover bolts. and blue silicone hose kit. fuel lines are braided. and the brake lines copper. so should look quite clean when done.

The wheels are the old white with pearl pink in them.
But those are the last things that will get painted. probably a dark anthracite colour . :)

My last cam cover never matched the blue car ?? nobody ever complained then??lol 8) just kidding scott lol

Looking good chris, how long till you fire it up then? Also what make of alternator is on your car? Might need one if i valver the 1.2 as it will save twatting the chassis leg. Rick

Well done Chris! I also reckon the white wheels look awesome with a white car! Very striking! Or how about a gloss black rather than anthracite? (I find anthracite a bit boring.. sorry :( )

yes black is an option.

Might have to get a wheel done in each colour and see what looks best.
Gloss white would look nice i must admit. we shall see.
At least i got 2 sets to choose from. so i guess i can have the best of both worlds.

The alternator rick. i forgot what car it came from now. It wus summat totally stupid tho. hmm Ill check the markings on the alternator today and get back to you mate
