nova sri/gsi

Could someone confirm some stuff for me:
- Do all sri/gsi novas have a lambda sensor/cat?
- Do they all have a coilpack?
-Are they both integrated loom type?
-Are valve sizes the same?
-Is there any major differences to the corsa mk1 1.4mpi engine wize?

Not too sure on the last too but i THINK the sri and gsi had very similar heads, e.g same or very similar valve sizes.

Why would you have a lambda and no cat?!

It was very late registered K plates and later that had Dispac's as the cat laws came in on late 1992 ans wernt enforced util 1993.

most gsi's have gte type engines

late gsi's have dispac/cat/lamba

sri's all have cat/lamba... not all have dispac

So, if I fit a Corsa c14se injection system to a 1.6 nova engine with a c16se ecu, it'll work, right?

the nova gte engines have an egr port which the c16 doesnt have so u'd need to blank that off

why the hell dont u get the proper gte loom - they are a piece of piss to wire in

Well, I need to do it this way mainly because finding second hand e16se parts here in Portugal is almost impossible, and all the ones I see on e-bay will only sell to the UK!!! :evil:
I have the complete engine, but not a complete injection system, especially, I don't have the loom, one of the ecu's, and some other gubbins.
That's why I was thinking that if I get a corsa c14se injection system with DIS and a c16se ecu (as Aragorn said in another post, it won't fuel right with the 1.4 ecu), I'll have infact a c16se engine!!!

So please help guys, this has to be sorted soon or I'll start walking to work!! :cry:
