13" wheels over 16v brakes

as title, i've seen it done but don't know what needed doing to make it fit, can i do this with steels or would i need alloys? any idea's?

im pretty sure u need 14s to clear the calipers...

and theycan't be sr/gte/gsi wheels either...

may be wrong but im sure the wheels had to be 5 1/2" wide to clear the callipers??? hence the nova 3-spokes not being n e good because they were on the 5" wide

i no it can be done because i've seen it, just need to know what size 13's and how much i need to gring off them and the calipers

Iv seen them behind standard nova 13" steels, Just grind the top and bottom corners until the wheel goes over! my mate did it on his totaly standard looking swing with a valver in. :D

13's mate, thay were fitted standard to most nova's, he even left the standard wheel trims on and 1.2 exhaust! :D

measure the radius from center of the bore to the outboard edge of the caliper

then do the same for the wheel

my guess is they wont fit because the caliper will be thru the wheel

if u stick some astra gte alloys or cav sri steels on you'll notice theres about 3-4mm at most between the caliper and wheel

dropping an inch in wheel size is 12.8mm smaller in radius

that should mean the caliper is about 8-9mm thru the 13" steel

Ive got some 13" Irmscher wheels that would clear them as they go over tigra/corsa GSi brakes with plenty to spare.

ive seena rally car with 288mm discs under 13" rims. he did have mega slimline brembro calipers on it though.

i put a 256mm disc inside a 13" rim, its gonna be mightly close if it fits!

13" RFX Revolution Group A nova wheels fit with no mods. Must be group A and not standard 13" Revolution or it wont clear.
