hi guys, posted this subject yesterday but no answers?? anyway ive got a late shape ('j' plate) nova and have bought a new copy of a bat motorsport evolution front bumper, it has no means of fitting to the car as it has no brackets etc, ive been told there is no fitting kit and you have to use the original bumper/fittings, has anybody out there ever done this, if so how? it maybe the same 4 other kits? do i cut the standard bumper???
c'mon guys somebody must have THE KNOWLEDGE?

Use the standard bumper bar.

ok,do i fibreglass the standard bar into the new bumper/ and what about the sides to join to the wings? i considered this but it seemed impractical firstly as the bar would have to be cut down, as it projects out of the air duct holes in the evo bumper, and secondly still needs work on the sides to fix to the wings. my thoughts were to cut the sides off the original bumpers so i have the fixings to the wings and bond them to the evo bumper. also i would cut down the original bumper bar cut a section of the original bumper plastic to fit and use the top edge to bond to the top edge of the evo bumper?. dont know if its the right way though??

firstly, welcome to fitting aftermarket bodykits/parts there nearly all a pain in the arse,

your idea will work fine as long as you get it lined up properly

cheers chris but its not just restricted to the bumper bein a pain in the a@#e it applies to the whole car, wings dont line up, rot spreading quicker than butter in a cafe, exhaust welds to itself, never being touched by a mig the list goes on still wont be bad when its finished(i hope), ime new to novaload and was hopin you guys could solve this problem. ive just posted pictures of my other car an omega if u get chance check it out and tell me what ya fink! its pretty modded but ime not kittin it as the original bumpers are ?600+ each!......they look nice enough thankyou very much!
seriously i thought moddin a nova would be a breeze after a mega and sources parts from abroad but its not goin to plan!

as said before your idea would work by fibreglassing the bumper bar to the bumper.

personally if it was me id drill small holes into the front of the bumper then rivet it to the carriage bar then carefully fill the rivets over if done properly you'd never notice and id think it would be more secure than fibreglass
