When I reverse my car, there's a brief squeeling noise just after I release the handbreak. Some people have said to me it could be the handbreak sticking, but im not sure as it sounds like its coming from the front-left of the car, possibly the wheel itself.

Am I worrying about nothing? Im guessing its nothing major anyway...............right :?

Cheers.

it is usually your rear brakes, but front ones could make funny noise.
the caliper sliders might be worn.

It could be the shoes sticking as you are releasing the brake in reverse!

The shoes are designed not to squeak going forwards much like bike brake blocks, so they could just be squeaking (vibrating) in reverse.

I wouldn't worry unless it does it forwards or really annoys you.
