F Reg Nova 1.4 ????

My step dad has told me about a woman he works with who has an F plate 1.4 nova.
He says he has no idea what model it is - just that its a 1.4, anyway, she needs something bigger and it keeps stalling under 1000rpm so she was gonna scrap it.
He has told her i will have it (good of him i thought) so i am having it really cheap.
What models were there on F plate with 1.4 engine in them?
I dont think it is an SR, he would know what that looked like.

none until the 1.3 was replaced by a 1.4 in 1990 (g-reg)
maybe had a previous engine swop?

yep I would say its had an engine swap, and it was H reg that they swaped to the 1.4

The 1.4 was introduced on 01/10/89, so as Ste says, G-reg Novas were the first fitted with it.

It was available on most Nova models, except for the base model.

maybe its a trial/prototype car that made it on the road and will be worth a shit load ov money.

or maybe its had a engine swap lol
i made 2 Trial ED`s today at work (the new primera) and i fucked them both up :D

Silly step father is a foolish man who cannot read the big letters on the back stating NOVA 1.3 L
not a 1.4 at all, its a 1.3L
not only that, but its a five door, but still, he bought it and paid for it for me so mustn't grumble.
