Where can i buy valve guides for a 1600 8v head??

bronze or "standard" ? maybe SBD sell them at a rip off price. Bill B might be willing to share an engineering contact with you or something.

its not really a DIY job, you need to get them changed at an engineering shop.

i spoke to bill and he wont do it but i might be able to get one off of him. wasnt even thinking about attepting it myself...ill have a word with sbd and see what they say. Nothing but bloody hold ups :cry:

Have you tried Autovaux? Got a set from them :)

If you want them changing I'd pm "Gary" off mig, very good at his work, willl fit and ream them out, and might even re-cut your valves seats too if you ask nicely. :)

There is an engineering shop near me i use for head skims and getting random parts you could give him a try. 01707 264310/ 262557. Its called power units. Might be worth a try. The bloke really seems to know what hes doing.
