about 3k by the time i cage it and get some seats

Is that your total you have spent on your car,or the engine conversion/and rebuild etc??

scott

elgan
16-11-04, 06:06 PM
hmm

id like to think ive spent about 3k, but itemised it would probably look alot more

engine eventually owed me nothing, as i sold lots of stuff off the donor car, probably spent about 600 on it including re bore, conversion bits, carbon fibre bits etc...

suspension, ive got some front coilovers and shocks and springs on the back, cost me 200 brand new but pre mounted from pvd ages ago.

bodywork, done it all myself, only extra parts really are new genuine front wings, headlamps and indicators, new genuine gsi front bumper, and thats about it parts wise... oh and the mirrors.

wheels and tyres, brand new softstars and yoko a539 tyres, they werent cheap :?

erm inside, i bought loads of gsi stuff for about 180, all i need now are some fixed buckets..

really does help when you do it all yourself, its taken me 2.5 years but its been worth it.

only thing i havent done so far is the re bore and the respray, i just did all the bodywork and prep for the bodyshop to paint it.

looking at it more realistically it would probably owe nearer 4k maybe a little over as recently ive thought fuck it and splashed out on nice things like the carbon covers and various other shiney bits.

scott.parker
16-11-04, 06:23 PM
well fair play mate,as i have spent a bit more then that, but then i did waste some money on my kit...oh well it's only money.. :D
