right just had to fix my car (faulty spark plug lead) now i can get back to doing the twin one... another update tomorow morning peeps :o
now why have i never thaught of doing that. hmmmmmm twin 2.0 8vs anyone lol.
this is the sort of stuff we need to see more of on here, the real mods.
hats off to you ste mate, (i hope you dont mind me watching how you do it mate for a little bit of insperation)
just realised too that it will have rear indipendant suspension too.
LOL Ste you're fa-kin nuts!!!
But you're doing the twin engine the best way by getting the front end of another Nova in the boot - This is how Squint made his rear engined RS turbo Escort, his twin engined RS turbo Escrot and the RS rear engine'd powered 106.
As long as you get it lined up properly so the engine bay in the rear is square it should mean that the rear wheels are straight and it won't 'crab' down the road.
The next biggest issue will probably be the gear linkage and clutch assemblys.
Keep the pics going as this project could be very cool!!
:D
lol this picture is mad http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/Ste_Nova/Kaylls/PB130022.jpg
and you could line it up properly if youve got tracking gauges!!!

have to say thats probably the best an easiest way of doing a twin engine project. Ive thought about doing this loads an loads of time. I think you should lock up the front steerin rack an use the rear one to steer with, will be like a forklift then lol
or hook up both and have 4x4 steering. for an autotest car it would be class

imagine the turning circle of it, it would just spin on the spot
he makes it look so easy.
Nice 1 Ste.
looks the dogs, especially when u concider the budget lol
I agree with Burgo, that pic is mental, looks like someone crash landed into the backseat, on purpose.
Are you gonna stick a grill etc on it, headlights?
Either way, cant wait to see the finished project.

if its twin engine then it will be 4 wheel drive anyway
not neciscerily (sp?) could convert g/box so all the power is to the front wheels (probbly?)
neway, how u gonna sort out the diff's?? so both axle's read same rpm?
i.e. rear 2 wheels not outspinning front 2 wen you floor it? weld the diff/s so they lock power at 50/50 drive :|
it does not matter. if one engine pulls more than the other then it just makes it easier for the other. and it would just be like a cally turbo or a cav as they are 4x4 without lim slips.

it's all welded up now.... nice rolling shell
nice1 ste get more pics up then !!
lol nice 1 ste, wish i had to knowledge, time and space to do things like that !
i saw the boost Beast at Max power (sorry ! ) live in the summer, that was truely awesome. he hadn't even washed it which made it even funnier.
people were just walking past going "God, it's a shitty nova with stupidly big wheels" i don't think they even bothered to look in the boot, or read the spec on the doors
