I know it snot vauxhall (my nova has been sold  ) But if i have a 1.6l zetec escort could i put the head on from a 1.8gti (same engine exaclty different bore) and get any gains? If i changed the throttle body as well? I know it works with novas (1.3 with a 1.2 head) but any ideas on this? cheers, jon

Its the engine out of a 1.8GTi. Mine is a 1.6Si. If i use that head it woul prob lower the compression ration im thinking. Im assumin that the idea of the 1.2 head on a 1.3 (nova's this is), but do you think the cams would be useable? Oh and the man only has the head up wards for sale. Bugger. Cheers for any help, jon

asfar as i am aware that doesnt work on a zetec because they are very different engines, just share the zetec name unlike the nova which is basically the same engine
