i know most of you will say all the little nob heads on scooters do your heads in, but i'm 16 and want a scooter as its taking the piss walking every were. A local lad is selling 100cc scooter and i could afford to buy it but i was wondering if it is possible so get it restricted down to the power of a 50cc and if its legal and if i could insure it as a 50.

nope even if it had the power of a 1cc at the end of the day its a 100cc which you cant legally drive.i had a scooter wen i was 16-17 was gr8 for that time got nicked tho .

if you get 1 make sure its locked down at all times as i found out it takes about 20 secs or less if your skilled to steal 1, i found sum lads on mine and after we finshed with them the bike was a wreck total rite off.just be carefull as a 10yr old could steal 1

i made a loom for a chicken chaser which aloud you to just kick and go!! took 10 seconds to plug in and you were gone. ok i doubt he is getting a chicken but the newer ones aint much more complicated

I dont mind scooters that much, i'm not really slagging them off+i'm not taring ever scooter driver with the same brush. I still think nam should save his cash for his car though.
I really like bikes and do want to get one (with a decent engine in it), but i often get stuck behind a 50cc scooter on the way to work up this huge steep hill. He can barely touch 15mph at some points and sits in the middle of the road&you really cant overtake-i feel like pushing him up to the top sometimes :lol:

my mate has a ped. its so gay, he as crashed it so many times. why do people who ride them always lean forward to the handlebars? mabey its to keep the front end down coz scooters have so much power. i dont think.
