these might be dumb questions, but id like to know.
i want to put a new fan belt on my 1.3SR that has weber t40 carbs from the nova sport, does it use a different belt to the standard sr, if so which do i get?.
also does a performance cam use the standard timing belt?
thanks
I assume you mean an alternator belt and Nova's don't have a belt driven fan.
But yes you will need to get a different one - when I needed a new one for my old Nova that ran T40's I looked at the mesurements that are printed on the outside of the belt, went to a motor factors with the dimensions and they found one the same (Can't remember what it was for) - If your mesurements have rubbed off then the best bet is to take the belt off and get a lift to a motor factors and find one the same size then ask what it is intended for and remember for future reference.
also does a performance cam use the standard timing belt?
thanks
I would imagine so, depends on the pulley you are using, but if you have changed the top pulley you will need a different bottom pulley for the belt to fit right
