What i want to do is fit in my car is 4 15" 500w rms subs and run them off two 1000w rms Amps that i will bridge.

The bloke told me that this would sound crap and i couldnt power it even if i uprated the alternator and ran a seperate battery.

Does anyone know better??

there will be ways to power it. but it will be a tight fit

the cars iv'e seen at "sound offs" with huge installs are powered by generators.

You'll get them in but you'll defo need a bigger battery & alternator other wise u'll just watch the battery die on you & that's probly your main worry!

Its easy enough to get 4x 15" subs into your car without the back seats...

id definatly recommend getting an uprated alternator and a spiral cell battery...

Plus id use nothing less than 0 gauge cables to get the power from the battery to the power cap and then the amps (maybe 0 gauge to a 2 gauge splitter or in-built splitter on the cap, then lead the 2 gauge to the amps)

also, a little known trick is to upgrade your earth from your alternator...

if you did all this (and used at LEAST a 5 farad power cap in the system) then you could get 2x mono-block amps and run the subs at 2ohm, or a super-duper mono-block and run all 4 together at 1ohm (this will be a huge power drain mind) but either way will increase their power output
