1.4i t40 conversion

i crashed my 1.3 t40 5 door and want to remove the head and carbs and fit it to a new 1.4 nova.


question is if i use a 1.4i as a donor will i fail an emisions test as i will remove the cat or should i find a 1.4 with a carb as this will not have a cat.

if its a K plate and u use a C14NZ or C14SE block u will fail the emissions
if its before K it doesnt matter

if its a k plate and u use a 14nv block (1.4 carb/sr) you'll be fine

If you remove the engine number then state it's from a nova sport, they have to test it on age of the engine, so you'll be fine.

it'll say 1.4 on the engine and the logbook though, sport's were 1.3's.
