whats the engine like to fit??? need custom mounts etc??? is it any easier than a 2.0xe or does it still require some cut an shut on the chassis leg?
it's gay. get a 8v
The engine is a small block, and drops in on the std nova mounts, but it's worth swapping the alternator for the V belt type in th enova as the multi-V can touch the chassis leg on hard left cornering, you just swap the bottom puley for a single V type on found on the late GSI's and 8v corsa's.
car looks really good mate, nice and subtle, the engine looks awesome mate

Thats what I done, what alternator bracket did you use? I made one up myself.
I modifed one I found on a 1.4 8v corsa GLS, hammered it flat and it worked fine, and gave me full tension adjustment.
So you fabricated one as well, seems like that is what a majority of people do.
I had to cause the TB manifold means I had to mount the alt further back.

agreed lol
:o I'm just moving with the times. just for sticking TB's on I jumped 40BHP, can't say that about the 8v engines??
