View Full Version : Well that's it for this year (56k warning)
I drove my car for the last time today in the form it stands in now, I have only had it one the road since Feb and it needs another rebuild. I plan on losing more weigh from it, making it look a bit nicer and go alot faster, keeping N/A of course.
Just a couple of pics to say goodbye

I am thinking, nothing in the interior apart from seat and roll cage, no roof lining, carpets dash etc Every little helps.
All the interior will be painted, cage is getting painted white, new seats, new harnesses, strengthened bottom arms, new suspension, new exhaust, carbs, cams, headwork and a full engine rebuild, and big mouth GSi front. Should keep me busy for a while.
Chris
I think you should get a twin exaust
lol @ denny
sounds good chris :D

Been there done that. I want an exhaust that doesnt have a shiney tailpipe, just a mild but of tube

If you want it faster, changing to some motorsport 15" wheels would make the biggest difference!
Why not get some 45's and some lairy cams in that engine, then it would shift :D

Oh and must agre with keith, sort out some compomotive mo's or somethnig, them 17" look ok mate but i found they make for shit handleing on a valver.PS what make is your cage and where from? cheers dude..
scott
looks well good with them wheels on chris
i see you've fixed the glove box that mally broke
what steels were they? did they fit over 16v brakes?
Keith, Scott:
45's are part of my winter plan, along with cams, headwork, coilovers. I think I will stick with these wheels, I find the driveability much better than what I found with 15's. I am also planning on fitting a lightened flywheel, and getting the bottom end lightened and balanced, along with a full race 16v ashley exhaust. I am fitting a big mouth GSi bumper in black, painting the rear bumper in black along with a new bonnet with astra gte vents smoothed in along with a bonnet scoop of some sort to feed the carbs. Just enough to keep my busy I think over these winter months. Hopefully it will be ready for March time, all depending on funds really.
Scott: I have already done track days and really enjoy them, I am looking at preparing the car for track use as it is much more fun than road driving as 1/4 miling.
Benji:
The steelies were off a Cav SRi, yes they did fit over valver brakes.
Chris
i cant wait to compare your car to mine then chris.
should be good for next year.
