hi lads im just wondering how much will a bodyshop charge me 2 fit my abyss rear and kingdom front bumper on? n e ideas

my mate loz paid bout 500pounds to have his kingdom front bumper to be fitted and sprayed, then it broke and he had to pay out 500pounds again for it to be refited, should cost in all bout 550, depending on where u go

500 + 500 wtf if the break was due to the people who fitted they should pay for it.

i would prefere to try and fit my self rather than paying ?550

:o ?500 - did that include buying the bumper in the first place, cos if not it sounds like he was conned mate...

Fit it yourself - as far as i know you just have to drill a couple of holes each side through both the bumper and wings and mount it on that way and then filler over the bolts so its all flush.

yeh its fairly simple i fitted an evo front to mine n thats supposed to be one of the hardest to fit out of the after market nova bumpers, but i just took my time n made up brackets from steel until it sat rite.

if n e 1 has pictures of the kingdom bumper with home made brackets will you please send them 2 me cheers

they start out as L shape brackets which u bolt to ur front panel and take the main weight of the bumper then just but tangs of bendy metal on the sides of the bumper so u can screw them into the arch to line it up.

i got my front bumper repaired ( after wiping out a scooter) sprayed side skirts moulded in to the body work an sprayed for about 120

This type of question is immposible to answer, there are no "fixed rates" its all down to the bodyshop you take it to. Get your yellow pages out, go to a few bodyshops and get some quotes.

I put my abyss rear on and had to drill new holes in the the back cos they didnt line up with the original bumper mounts. Whats that all about?

I took it off today ready for my new project, the mounts on the bumper look like theyre about to fall off.

Its only been on for about 2-3 months?

It could have been a cheap homemade jobby as i bought it off ebay but the build quality is poor, and thats being kind.

Even the outer surface was full of pits, took loads of prep work.
