My mate just installed weber 32/34. Engine starts and idles ok, but the moment he tries to accelerate carb makes squeeky noise and cats out? Any idea what it can be?

are the leads on the correct plugs? have you changed anything else? or just changed the carb?

did he use all new gaskets when installing the carb? could be an air leak at one of the mating surfaces

check the adaptor plate screws are tight.

Its all connected properly and all the bolts are tight! Now we used old gasket from Pierbug 2E3 on Weber 32/34. Now this can be a problem! Also I will check if its one of the vacuum advance pipes not covered or something!
Any other ideas?

We have replaced all the gaskets between the carb and an adaptor plate and adaptor plate and the manifold! It doesnt make as loud whistling noise as it used to but still does. Engine idles perfect but when we take it for a drive and rev above 2000 its trying to stall.... I am really confused? Are we running too rich or starving?

do you know what jets are in it or what it cam off?

sounds like it might be too lean.
