what do both sites have in common? yup, we are both nova sites with quite a few regular visitors/members, both sites have 'big guns' (all the valver bunch etc on here, Greame De suy, Karthik (19s), Nige Beechey (valver on twin 45s) on Roy Bacer etc etc) so why can't we get on?

this isn't a winge, or a complaint, it's just a question for a few people...why am i getting people on my site totally ripping it apart and slagging me off? what is my crime? owning a fellow nova site?

we are both popular sites, so we should support each other. It seems that some novaloaders see RB as a 'rival' and want to put me out of business or summit?

Could i please ask the moderators to not delete this post, as it is quite important and not just a petty winge. We could have sum massive joint meet ups, track days etc if we worked together.

just wanted to know why a selected few wanted to stop my long term RB members chatting my screwing up my chatroom. I'm 90% sure who it is, and with the use of an IP tracker thingie, i should know for certain soon.

i'd like to hear Ian's opinion on it (even though i'm pretty sure he's nothin to do with the hassle i'm having) and a few other regular Novaloaders.
as i said above, could the moderators please leave this post on the boards without deleting it, as i feel it could be quite interesting to see what people say...

I've just started using Roybacer...
the more sites Nova people have the better I say. Leave it up to the people themselves what site they wanna use.

twasnt me that were holding enter down :p so b4 you go jumping to conclusions think who could be botherd to do something like flood a chatroom. Y would i bother doing something that is plainly nerdy.

I know that somepeople assume i do things like that, because of the whole max power thing but that was a total attempt to frame me.

Ged mate, when you said that people are always picking at your site. Were you referring to the other day when I mentioned that your site pages overlapped?. It was not supposed to be a pick more a general statement it was also not supposed to cause offence. Sorry bud. I have only just recently started looking at your site and from what I have seen of it, it is good and well designed. I use both mainly for research into the world of Novas. In the end it domes down to personal preference. After all some people like Saxos and others hate them (most of this site from what I have seen)

You are just trying to whisk difficulty involving novaload (a sophisticated site) and your common site. I hope u come to a decision to say sorry.

at the end of the day i use both sites, im fed up with all the biggering....

"your car has 95bhp, not 97bhp!!!" so what.

the results dont lie ged will have the ip address and we will know who is causing trouble.
not saying it was any off the novaload lot. we are mostly all nova owners and one of the things i like best about nova owners is that generally all get on.

so why cant we just share ideas etc... like we always have done in the past....

I only use Novaload, Not because i don't like RoyBacer or think novaload is better, just because i don't have time to read the posts on both! i struggle to find the time to keep up with all the novaload posts, let alone trying to read all on both. Trying to read both during my working day would be a nightmare!

Novaload and Roybacer have taken a back seat for me now. I've started to use another vauxhall site (which will remain unnamed in fairness to kev and ged). The reason for my decision? Less bickering and repeated questions. I'm not having a go at the majority of people on here but there are a few on each site that just seem to talk a lot of sh!te and argue about everything. And I just don't have time to sift through the crap to find the gems of wisdom that are on here.

A pity really because the technical knowledge of some of you guys is brilliant. Novaload is still my no1 nova site but just not as entertaining and friednly as it has been in the past.

it would be different if one of the sites were a ford site or summink #.....thisd is pointless i think both of the sites r phat and ialways use both of them!!

like ged said when the IP address is noted maybe somone should giv the person a little warning..perhaps even an icckle ban...at leaast a bloody good talkin to!!!

I've not used RoyBacer, so I can't comment. I only get little chance to use the internet at work and Novaload is the only Nova site I use. I must agree with Fenix it's lost a lot of appeal recently. I can't put my finger on why this has happened, perhaps I'm getting old :p Novaload is indeed an excellent site, sometimes I can't keep up with everything thats going on in all the different forums. I must admit i prefered it when there was one forum where all questions were posted in there, due to not having the time to surf at work, it takes too long with this slow work connection to browse the individual forums. I'll still post questions and replys as and when i see fit. I'm sure you're site is excellent and you have a lot of fans Ged, but unfortunatley for you Ged, I found Novaload first and will continue to use Novaload as my first choice. By all means if you do organise a huge meet then let everyone here know. I heard down the grapevine one of your members was thinking of holding a meet in MK. Keep us posted on what happens and good luck with the running of RoyBacer.

ive been working late shifts so i couldnt comment earlier but doesnt ged have a vuaxhall site not just a nova site??

i personaly do not have a problem with roybacer

i also agree with what fenix has said (although i havent turned into sum triator X-( lol )

if where honest the bickering has been going on in this site for a while although i feel recently its been a lot better (maybe becuase one ov the main culprits was removed (davo) )

post like this only help the site to become better so oif anybody else has any constructive critisisisum (spelling lol) then please feel free to tell us.

The make up of who uses these sites ebbs and flows - I would of thought that being as they're full of young people who get easily bored, all of what happens is to be expected.
I wouldn't worry about it Ged. You've made your site what it is and all credit to you but by doing so you open yourself up to this sort of thing. It may not be fair but that's life.

yup Fenix is about right, however where ever you go there will always be trouble makers :(
I havnt been on much recently due to some personal problems, so i dont understand fully, bascially as i hear it, Geds been having problems with members of novaload going onto his site to start abuse? (and the chat room incident, whoever did it) I suggest that the members that "might have been" causing the trouble just stop it and grow up, we are all adults on this site (well most of us :p) everyone chill... B-)

I'm the same as SlimJim up there...only I use RoyBacer more as thats what I found first:)

I don't however have any problem with Novaload, if its was people from Novaload in the Roybacer chatroom then its not fair that Noavload should be blamed, only the people involved

I dont see the point in two Nova sites bickering....Just think of the turnout we could get if we held a joint meet:D

Just a point ged, I use roybacer every now and then, as you know I have a Cavvy, but am looking at a 2.0 16v nova today ;) You are the only moderator on roybacer and why it means you have ultimate control you also may miss things going on. On this site I believe there is 4 moderators... And other chat forums all have more than the one moderator. Maybe it would be a good idea to talk to some of your regulars who you trust and seem to have influence on others to become moderators that way you won't have to deal with things yourself, and will give you some slack. Maybe just the rights to delete posts' Move post's to different forums and delete users... COuld be something to consider for your new boards.... As for the beckering... Your right it should stop. Think of what kinda meets we could do if Novaload and Roybacer joined forces.... More help more contacts which could only be good news for both sites???
