Started collecting the bits i need for my xe.

Dont know if i need the exhaust with a lambda sensor or not.
Dont know the age of the engine, looks like the one with the dizzy, although i dunno what the dispack looks like.

I'm presuming the only way to tell whether or not i need the lamda type exhaust is to look at the loom? if so what am i looking for? Or is it just the case that they were fitted to the later models?

If it was from '92/'93 onwards it will have one.
j/K plate onwards.

It would be easier if it was a dispac, as these would have a lamda.

Just get a manifold with one in, and you can leave it unplugged if you dont need it.

That's the problem

I dunno what car it's come out of or even what year it is????
All Ive got is the engine itself, inlet manifold, throttle houseing and fuel rail.

Its not even got a bottom pulley atm.

If I dont find out, guess I'll have to get one with lambda, dont really want to though. Im trying to keep everything sweet and tidy, would be a shame to start making bodges so early on in the project.

check for 3 pin plug near ecu plug.... 3 in a row... quite wide... if it's there then you need lamba exhaust
