I was just wondering whether it would be ok to connect the ground ( my Earth) wire off my central locking kit directly to the negative ground terminal on my battery as it is an easier option, for me.

Does any 1 know, coz if u think bout it isn't it the same as connecting it the the body of the car anyway!

Coz the 1, that i planned to put it on, by the bonnet lever has been worn out by the previous owner.

And i already have a wire coming directly from the battery ground into the car, anywayz thats wire its an easier option, this should be ok to use right.

Yes it will be fine, although your better off not having wires coming straight from the battery. It's better to earth them through the shell, it keeps things a lot neater.

Erm the one by the bonnet lever is black? if so it is switched live, enjoy an early fireworks display!

The earth is usually by the gearstick on the chassis. (Que Ste with piccies lol)

Ste has already posted a pic in answer to this guys problem before.

Just put a self tapper into the shell and scrape the paint off.

Oh right, I thought the earth was by the handbrake/gearstick?

And the two by the bonnet release were black and red?

nevermind as long as it works!
