got a 20SEH in my nova and fancy doin a turbo conversion. ive already got a manifold, actuator T3 etc from an RST. Can this manifold b used? also i thought the standard ECU could used with a fifth injector and a little help from courtenay, any ideas??

allnova look through the old threads that concern turbos theres all the info you need there as it's gettin very tiresome repostin the same information day in day out

That's not very nice! Maybe you or somebody should do a sticky turbo conversion How To.

And that stupid Search form doesn't work and, as far as I know, never has.

search never has worked, i don't know why they don't just take it off or get it fixed.

the manifold will not fit i dont think, but for starters you would have to lower the compression ratio (unless you where only going to run low boost) you can either put a thicker head gasket on or use c20 let pistons, then you would need an intercooler system and some extra fuel when it come on boost. you could use the mf2 ecu to run a fifth injector (wallace performance supply this kit for about 400 quid) but all in all you are looking at 2 grands worth of gear to get exactly the same power as you would from a c20 let.

id just put an let in it, its loads easier and can easily get to 330 brake

ok have decided maybe i was a bit blunt,

heres the link to the last big thread i did on turboing an engines,

http://www.novaload.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=100705&start=15

its about turboing a 1.6 8v engine but covers all the main principles of turboing an engine and these just need adapting to suit the engine, main thing that springs to mind are turbo size and cooling but these are easily overcome other than that i think its just the same as the thread says

Think that pretty much says it all really! Surely that should be made sticky for everyone to see?

yeh i know it covers most stuff and when this post went up originally the linked post was only 3 posts down the page hence i couldnt be bothered explaining it all again

id quite like to see the post made sticky aswell but only once the few issues in it are correcte/answered

added to the faq list, stop bitching among yourselves and ask for things to be stickied etc if they are useful etc.
