Getting Twin Carbs Through MOT

My next challange will be to get my Twin 40'd 1.3 through its MOT. Whats the best way to get it through the emissions test? Its running 28 chokes if this helps?

Jsut get rh eidle mixture correct, has to be below 400ppm HC's. might let you tweek it while its at the MOT?

yeah justadjust the idle correctors while he is testing it, (wind them in but remember by how much) you will have to wind the idle screw in too as it wont run that lean so will need to be adjusted, dont drive it far like this tho as it will bun out the valves and when you rev it, it will take ages to drop down again

Just had my MOT and the guy adjusted them to 4% CO. What, is that too lean then?

krobinson, have you noticed any power getting lost at high rpm's with those 28mm chokes?

I suppose you wouldn't know as your probably running the engine in at fairly low rev's.

just get mr gault to sort your mixture out for the MOT as im sure he can do it with his eyes shut lol
