i got a ps2 slimline yesterday and wanted san andreas with it but everywhere was sold out but then i got one from the duty free shop at the airport (good ting my dad works at the airport lol)it looks alrite but im not startin it probably yet cos i aint got a memory card yet :cry:

with the slimline i got colin mcrae 2005(preety good) and sum stupid hobbit game(not opened yet)

game are doing a gud deal on san andreas at the mo. part ex 4 old games an u pay ?7.99 for grand theft.

or buy the slimline ps2 with either, grand theft + fifa 04 or two other sh*tty games for ?145

I must admit I will stick to PCs for games. The graphics ARE far better

PCs do bug me occasionally, but I really dislike consoles. Joypads are POO! lol.

I never had a problem with my commadore 64.

i got a geforce 5900 ultra, it cost me over ?200 and that was when the 5950 had been released. my fans are set to quiet when not playing games and still make a racket.

it's cool innit :D i built it myself. i bought a few mag's to look for a pc, but to but a complete on to this spec would of cost ?2k+ so i thought stuff that i'll have a go myself.

i built it in febuary and it cost ?1200.

spec:
athlon 64, 3200 prossesor
motherboard (can't remember make but it's a good'un)
1 gig kingston(i think) ram
120 gig s-ata hard drive
geforce 5900ultra goldedition graphics card
17" iiyama prolite e431s monitor
surround sound
8x dvd writer
4 channel fan controller and hard drive cooler.
case with 4x 90mm fans with quiet bearings and speed adjustable(blue led's)



it got quite a good score on the benchmark programs. good enough to get a place on the extreme pc mag's table if i'd sent it in.

i used to be well into top spec pc's for games but kinda lost interest now, dont have the time to play games or the money to build a pc capable. Ive got an onboard graphics card and it dont even play half-life :cry:
Stick to playin me DOS based games or Megadrive :lol:

best dos game ive got which i cant get to play on xp is "crusader no regret"

i run a dos emulator to run games like x-wing and tie fighter (the disk versions of the game)

ive got 2 hard drives so i have windows 98 on one and xp on the other. if i wanna play a dos game i just go into the bios and change the 1st boot device to the other hard drive.
lot of messin around but works for me
