alright guys.

when u put a 2.0 8v engine in a nova what changes need to be made to the linkages so they'll select all the gears?

i have been told that they will need to be lengthened but by how much?!

any help much appreciated!

cheers

Try fitting the std nova linkage first.

The standard nova linkage works fine, all you have to do is spin the white plastic UJ round 180 degrees to give an inch or so extra length, then set it up as per the haynes manual using the 4.5mm drill bit method.
To spin the white plastic UJ there is a tiny pip you will need to cut off to allow you to spin it round.
Dead easy.

never did any of that to mine, i have just left the stndard nova linkage on the standard nova rear mount. (slightly moded with a grinder to fit the box lol) fitted a quick shift now and its perfect

If you didnt fit a gearbox spacer between the mount and the box on one side the cvs will be squashed together a bit and the other side will be stretched an bit, long good if you want your cv's to last.
Is the rubber part of the drivers side mount stretched right out, you'll not get any prob with alternator pulley clearance though!
The gearbox spacers are used for a reason,to sit the engine in the middle.
