bottom end gone

i've just fitted a 1.6 gte(e16se)engine into my 1.2 nova. the bottom end has gone and i was wondering what other 1.6 bottom ends would fit my top end as i can't find any nova one's in my area and was wondering if an astra one or other vaxhall one would fit?

mate i have a full 1.6 8v engine for sale if you want it,its got full service history,it came out my nova gsi when i got the valver put in...how dose ?100 sound if you want it let me know..

any 1600 block with engine code x16Sy

where x is anything or nothing and y is anything, ie 16SV or X16SZ ...

to summarise, cav mk3 carbed 1.6, astra mk3 mpi 1.6, astra mk2 carb 1.6 and some newer vectras and astras also have suitable blocks
