i have a 1.4sr and every now and then the throtle sticks open a little bit. when i went under the bonnet and reved the engine using the thing on the crab i can feel a little something it catches on when i let it off, just b4 it gets to idel. sorry its a bit vague. any help???

try putting a bit of oil or wd40 where it sticks. is the return spring damaged or out of position?

by the sound of it the return spring is outa position, i had that on my old sr. Easy to fix tho

if u could tell me how that would be good. am having other troubles with it at the moment. cant get it to start, even by jump starting it, something is draining the battery and it wont turn over. any idea's??????

in that case get a replacement carb from a scrappy and clean it up before fitting it, is prob the easiest solution. get a new battery cos its prob thats dud... any help?

well i havent tryed spraying the spring with wd40 yet, so will give the new carb a miss for now. wont do that till i can sort this electrical prob and make it start. am going to call the aa on my mates card 2moro and see if they can fix it, or at least get it going.
