Worked late last night, and got the engine running, with the help of good friend, Alex. Oil pressure's fine, only problem was a leak at the thermostat, which i sorted today with a new one. Couldnt hear the sweet noise of the carbs because the exhaust system aint connected, as i have no 4 branch (used the old section of the original manifold)

Still need the following parts, either on order or need to hunt for:

New 4-2-1 janspeed manifold
Heater fan
GSI Radiator
Headlight motors (cant find mine lol)

Here's some pics:

Alex (al mac) was so nervous he could hardly work a screw driver! I wasnt far behind him! Once all was working/starting etc, i Rang Steven to let him know his engine build was a success :D

Now to tidy everything up, get an MOT and get some miles up!

nice.
Thats where i put my regulator.
Janspeed only do a 4-1 manifold for Nova i'm pretty sure, as i'm getting one also.

Can't wait to see the pwer figures for it.

Are you going to do a new feature for it?

looks mint mate, not really the best place to put the fuel pump as they are a push pump and not a pull, but it should be ok,

love the small block engines ability to rev like a twat.

I was going to put it in the boot, but i prefer to have it in View, as it kinda completes the bay. It works perfect, and shouldnt cause any trouble!

Looks mint Keith! Well done mate.

I allways love the moment just before you start a fresh engine up, cant beat the feeling knowing that it works.

As for the fuel pump, i originally had mine in the engine bay and it worked fine. The only real problem i found was that it got that hot in the engine bay it tended to cook the fuel before it got to the carbs. Ive mounted mine now under the rear floor where the nova build manual shows to put them. Should be fine mate

P.S good luck trying to keep the carbs that clean!

Cheers Karl :D

Maybe if i get a bailey oil catch tank, i'll then move it to the boot. That way the tank will cover the hole's i've drilled!

Looking forward to driving it now, i had it up and down the street today and its perfect, just need that 4 branch now so i can cut down the noise (neightbours arn't too happy lol)
