Webber 32/34 carb for 1.2 !

Just thought about getting a Webber 32/34 carb, for my mk1, 1.2, just need to know, what I am goin to need, to put 1 in.

And also is it likely to give me better performance, as i av heard a few people chat bout having them on 1.2 novas.

And does any 1 know what price i am looking at, is it true they come off a astra 1.4, dont know what year or mk though, av heard plp say.

To fit one onto a 1.2 you will need a 1.3sr inlet manifold, the adaptor plate to fit the carb to the inlet manifold, and the 1.3sr throttle cable mate.

It does give better performance - my 1.2 is noticeably quicker with it on, and when combined with a K&N bolt on filter the noise from it is excellent..

No Vauxhalls had 32/34's as standard mate, have a look through some other threads, there have been a lot concerning this carb recently - there should be a list of which cars had them as standard - iirc it was Landrovers and some early escorts.

Yep! As Dan said it is noticably quicker! We have same engines and pretty much same mods but he has webber and I dont (mine commingn along within a week or os :). Good example on the motoway today he just lost me behind! :) So, yes mate do change it to webber!
I found one with the inlet manifold and the adaptor plate at the scrappy for ?25!!! 8) Good working condition! Was very pleased!
Check for sale section and local scrappy. (Just dont tell them its a webber when you paying for it :) :wink:

I should be goin to the scrappy this week sometime,
does any 1 know wot cars I should look out for to get a weber 32/34 carb off,

another thing is they never have any 1.3sr novas down there so I will still need to get an inlet manifold from somewhere
