mouth absess

this is a wierd one i admit but i am in absolute agony and i dnt no what else to do. :( i ave been to the dentist and been told i have an absess in the root of my back tooth and i have what looks like a tennis ball on the side of my face with the swelling. i have pain killers but it still really hurts :cry: what can i do? any ideas would be great???

Anyway did some searching on the net for you. I haven't got a clue as to what to do. However I went to the dentist today :D. My wife has a slight gum infection (we think anyway) and I asked about that, the dentist recommended Corsodyl. Its an anti bacterial mouthwash.

I've not got or had an Absess but one of my wisdom teeth hasn't come fully through the gum and as a result is rotten according to my dentist - so that's gotta come out and the perfectly good one that it grinds on above it has also gotta go as it'll be redundant - the other side has done the same but isn't rotten but the dentist says that it's probably best if that's also taken out - and again the one that it works with on the top row - so I've been reffered to the hospital to be put under to have 2 but probably 4 wisdom teeth removed when there is only one that is rotten!! :lol:

Oh yeah and I'm bricking it as I've never been put out before and I hate anything being done to my teeth - the only thing in the world that I truely fear is the dentist.

dont know about pain killers butwhen my brother knocked his 2 front teeth out he tryed sleeping the pain off and ice cream works a treat

go to hospital as they ae dangerous if they burst

cheers peoples i have taken everything into account and will be going to hospital in the morning and im going to change my dentist, however i have to have the tooth out nxt week and im not looking 4ward to it. i would rather be put to sleep as it is far easier, but the dentist won't let me do that so heh neva mind.
