Wow!! I cant wait. I love snow but have never been snowboarding/skiing before. looks amazing. Apparently Val Thornes has ann ok nightlife as well so we have something to do while we are not snowboarding. although this could be lies, it may be dead and full of old people.... :o
There is generally a lively something to go to in a Resort, and it doesn't take long to find.
Also there are 'Euro pop' bars where the elder (mainly skiers) 'hang' out, if you can stand the music they are very entertaining, they clomp about in their boots doing the hole apres ski which basically means getting a little too pissed and trying to dance and sing.
 @ 'apres ski'
There's far too many people walking about in a dudey way in ski boots
Yeah 'apres ski' rules, you can get an entire night of entertainment from one of these 'Euro pop' establishments.
And the gay walk goes with the skis on shoulder swinging around taking out everything in sight .
And while we are taking the piss out of skiers, the lift queues is the worst where they have no control or respect for the back of your board...cnuts.

hi guys n girls im lovin ebay at the minute coz i just purchased myself a mk1 nova from there which is now my baby im gonna take sum photos of it and post them soon
And while we are taking the p**s out of skiers, the lift queues is the worst where they have no control or respect for the back of your board...cnuts.
While when on the slopes boarders have no respect and either sit or just pootle down the middle of the slope at 1 mph, getting in the way of someone who actually wants to get some speed up. It is VERY dangerous.
Not the best idea to sit down on the slope when skiers are about or you WILL be covered by snow and crap yourself when they turn just centimetres from you at speeds a boarder can only dream of.
Its about mutual respect on the slopes which neither gays on trays (boarders) or pricks with sticks (skiers) seem to have.
I find that it is the skiers that gather one by one in the middle of the slope and gawp and point at things.
And if you have boarders doing 1mph that piss you off then try progressing from the nusery slope.
I have also had many races with skiers on the slopes, some you win, some you lose but then boarding is about riding the hill not skiing the hill, it is just different and some people still can't accept it.
And the mutual thing between skiers....the above rant or piss take is my views, I have just as much respect for skiers as any other normal person, only when they clomp about on my board in the Q's or generally be knobbers that the respect goes.
lol i think i am a little better than a nursery slope. I have tried to keep a neutral point of view (as i insulted skiers and boarders lol) but in my personal experience i have found that a lot of boarders try to use slopes which are far too difficult in relation to their boarding skills. Obviously this is the minority but as boarding is "cooler" than skiing it does attract some "i know it all cool people" who think they can just go straight onto the black and red runs where they just piss people off. It is probably the same as families of skiers with kids on the slopes.
There should be a test which you have to pass (including speed and skill) before you are allowed on certain slopes.
You also have to remember that most people on the slopes are foreign so they will always be rude and will tread on your board. I can see your point that it would be VERY annoying them scuffing up YOUR board with their (probably hired) skis. I know this is me stereotyping foreigners but the majority of europeans i have ever met are rude.
The reason for the mad rush at the lifts is becasue many Europeans don't believe in queueing and will push right to the front (treading on your board whist doing so). Just put your board on your shoulders and just keep swinging round. They will soon leant lol.
Ok but I haven't really had any encounters with crap people on difficult slopes in the last 9 years. I have had a lot of encounters with skiers particularly (some boarders too) of them stopping on a corner/in the middle/ after a brow of a hill etc. So I was laying down my experiences/points of view.
But you do agree about the cheesy euro pop bars though?!
As for the lift Q's I just give em a stare and it seems to help with keeping my board in one piece, again no offence to skiers but unclipping them in the Q's is just so funny, I think they call it the domino effect. (Of course they need to piss you off first!).
