MK2 GRILLE HELP!!

Hi all.

Just got a meshed grille for my mk2 nova, popped the bonnet and found that gettin the old one out looks a bit tricky. Have not got a clue were to start, any help much appreciated.

there should be 4 black clips that fix it to the car on top, you need a screw driver to push these down an pop it out. Once they are out it should just come off, there are two clips on the wings but they will pop off when you come to take it off

yeah but it aint easy; ull break at least one of the clips and draw blood, lol.

Or since you've got a second one anyway, just use a ball hammer. Breaking things can be fun and educational. :!:

very true, chances are you'll break it taking it off. Thats if the person before didnt break it, an if they have then make sure you dont put the screw driver through your hand. Nothing is as easy as it seems

Yeah, but putting a screw driver through your hands easier than you'd think!!

i know ive done it few times a long with other tools, angle grinder is a painful one though.

I imagine so!! I tried it to put a windscreen through my head one time, but didn't go to plan. RIP old Forrestry Nissan Bluebird, fcukins brideg ruined my hair!! :evil:

dont want to steel the thread but ye it wasnt a pretty site.

shred my thumb in half
blood was squirting everywhere like the special fx in a low budget horror movie
a mate found the other end and took me to casualty
they stuck it back on with two metal rods drillef from the tip of my thumb to where my thumb meets my hand.
they bent the ends of the rods over, i presume so they could get a better grip to pull them out when the time came???

ass holes, nearly every other day, i'd be walking round a corner in work and yank them on a table or machinery or summit, OWCH!

its fine now, ive even got all feeling in it :D

Sssssshit!! They take the rods out again? I'd have thought that would have made shite of your tendants and musccles and it'd be a dead limb! See if that happened you over here with our medical staff, you'd be in Casuitly for an hour and then after a fleet of doctors examined you, you'd be prenounced dead. Seriously, they're rubbish over here!
