View Full Version : GTE Clocks
Is it possible to fit GTE clocks into a 1.0 mk2.
I know the plugs are different sizes (only found out after buying the clocks). Can the 12 pin plug be bought? How would you wire it up?

i think if you get a plug from a scrappy with some wire left on it you can just match up all the colours from your old loom. cept for a green one which will be the rev counter. may take some soldering/ electrical tape but it is possible and all colour coded!
The size of the dashes are different. You could try!
The rev counter is on its own on the GTEs, and I think it is just match em up.
The mark 2 clocks are the same size, just with tags for screws, which arent on the mark 1's.
The clocks will fit in, but wont be very secure, due to the fact there are no tags present. Just wedge 'em in!

personally i'd get some gsi ones as they will fit straight in, although it will be possible to ram them in some way.
Unfortuneatly (spelling) its next to impossible to get any parts for Novas/Corsa A's in Ireland. They're very rare, SRs, SRis, GTEs, GSis are just not available. I've spent6 months looking and the only 1 I've found is a 1.2spi 4dr.
