how to wire in a rev counter

i want to wire a rev counter into my nova grasstrack car remembering that there is nothing left of the loom just a few starter wires left can anyone help and what counter should i use :o

wire goes to the -ve on the coil.

its the bottom spade nearest the headlight.

GTE clocks are good.
