ive had a b+ billy cylinder head on its own - given me restored full power, (100bhp on gsi)and then some.. (did 106 on r/r) cost ?480. cam? - in conjuction with the 'head u shud see 110-115bhp, and as much torque. cost: ?150 odd. then get zaust (?150 b/b or ?250 system) shud see towrds 120bhp/torque mark.. but thats ?600+ there. want cheap power; no such thing really - buy a turbo and up the boost; but itll last a day or two. then boom.

you could port an polish your head yourself. its fairly easy but it takes a while . all you need is a drill dosnt need to bo a decant 1, a flexie drill bit with a chuck on the end and a dimond grinder and just be cearfull and take your time make sure when your fineshed all the ports are smooth. also match the inlet manifold ports up with the ports on the head so there flush when together an smooth the the conbustion camber down but making sure they all stay the same size mesure them with parathin that should give you a lot more bhp. it made mine go a lot quicker an now i have a turbo on it that makes it go much better

Please dont take this the wrong way, but unless you are experienced at this sort of thing, DON'T BOTHER, chances are that you will make things worse, that head flows pritty well anyway. i've seen more ppls attempts make there cars slower than they were before...
...There is a reason that profesionals charge that much, not just cos of the time it takes but your paying for the experience tha they have...

.... I'm not saying that you cant do it yourself but be warned... first time I tried i wrecked a coupple of heads before i started getting anywhere in terms of improving the flow...and i had access to a proper flowbench!!! get down the scrappy and find a head to PRACTICE on- MONEY WELL SPENT

If you want to go faster etc, without touching the engine, strip the car down, (back seats parcel shelf carpet etc) you'd be surprised at the increase in performance for the cost of ?0.

i know that gunzi but thats not an option in this case
